Construction I grew up in Brownwood, a small town in central Texas. I started my real estate experience at age 14 with Waldrop Construction, working summers and Saturdays during the school year. The carpenters gave me the most undesirable assignments, including insulating attics and crawling under pier and beam homes to level foundations. Waldrop was a small home remodeling contractor, emphasizing quality and customer satisfaction. Appraisal Not long after earning my degree from the University of Texas at Austin, I received a Broker License, and started my training as a real estate appraiser. I appraised for 16 years, managing an appraisal office during the real estate boom, and the following downturn. In addition to single family homes, I appraised office buildings, apartment projects, high rise resort condominiums, as well as retail and industrial properties. I was certified in 3 states and was awarded membership in the Appraisal Institute, (MAI) in 1992. The designation required extensive class instruction, work review by peers nationwide, and comprehensive testing. Brokerage In 1996 I started working full time as a single family broker, primarily as a buyer's agent. My appraisal background gives me knowledge and experience to better serve my clients. I have brokered many types of homes including new construction, condominiums, townhomes, rural, waterfront and golfcourse. I have represented buyers and sellers of homes in Katy, Lakes On Eldridge, the Woodlands, the Heights, Clear Lake, the Memorial area, Champions, Fairfield, Sugarland, and many others. |
